Humble Beginings
We are tradesmen. Raised in Central Wisconsin by the pipefitting son of a blacksmith/plumber/welldriller and educated in morality by a dairy farmer's daugher, we realized at an early age just what giving an "honest 8 for 8" meant. With Pa nurturing our mechanical ablilities and Ma stressing the satisfaction found in earning a living with our own hands, how could we have been raised to be anything but?
Who We Are - nearly a century of combined experience
Allow us to humbly introduce ourselves as Co-Owners of www.kleintoolz.com's parent company Uncle Buck Ventures, LLC. Uncle Buck himself is a Journeyman Millwright who served an apprenticeship in maintenance and has taken his knowledge to the industrial construction sector after spending time as a machinist when fresh from his time in the U.S. Army. With nearly 20 years in maintenance and construction, not to mention his machine tool experience, the perpetual quest for precision in all we do is his offering. He is a Journeyman Millwright with Local 1056 NWRCC.
Co-Owner and webmaster, the Duck, as she is known, brings her technical expertise. Beginning in the maintenance field with an Associate of Science degree in Instrumentation Technology, she quickly jumped on the offer of a Steamfitter apprenticeship. After 14 years in the Building Trades, she has experienced many aspects of the piping trades from commercial heating and light industrial applications, to industrial instrumentation installation & start-up to heavy industrial construction. She is a Journeyman Steamfitter and instructor with UA Local 434.
Our Consultant, our Pa, is a retired Pipefitter having over 30 years in the plumbing and pipefitting industry. Starting as apprentice to our Grandfather, owner of a plumbing and well drilling business, when they weren't farming. He has been part of both the residential plumbing industry and heavy industrial construction. He is the fellow that keeps us grounded on where we've been and where we need to be to keep up with the changing times. He is a proudly retired member of UA Local 434.
Our Henchman, husband to the Duck, is a Journeyman Wireman with nearly 30 years in the electrical fields. Starting as an IC man in the U.S. Navy, continuing in the residential sector and presently in the heavy industrial construction field, he keeps us in touch with the pulse of the electrician's needs. He is a proud member of IBEW Local 388.
Our Mother, not to be forgotten and eternally to be thanked. She was the one who insisted on an education and learning a trade. "If you can do with your own hands, you'll never depend on anyone else's scraps for your living". Very true, Ma. We listened more than you thought.

As tradesmen with nearly a century of combined experience, we understand that with hard work and the right tools, there's nothing you can't accomplish. However, finding quick, friendly access to quality hand tools was lacking. Identifying this need to bring first rate tools "just a click away" from the craftsman, the idea behind www.kleintoolz.com was born.

We are family owned and family operated. So it was only logical that we were eager to find like minded companies to fill this need. Making our first offering the Full Line of Klein on-line, was a no-brainer, and we'll continue to grow the number of tools offered on the website. Until we post it all, let us know if they make it and you want it and we'll make it happen.
